Variable Speed Control: Hydrovar and Minivar

The Hydrovar is the world's first pump-mounted, microprocessor based pump system controller. Designed by ITT Vogel Pumpen in Austria and supplied by Pumpmasters Ltd, the Hydrovar does more than just change the motor speed; it manages your pump performance againsta wide range of system parameters, allowing energy savings of up to 70%.

Retro-fitting

The Hydrovar speed controller can be retro-fitted to any exisiting centrifugal pump manufacturer's unit which has a standard IEC motor. The Hydrovar requires as a minimum, a fused isolated electrical supply - the Hydrovar does the rest. The unit can be mounted directly onto the pump motor or it may be wall-mounted. (The 30-45kW versions are wall-mount only.)

Minivar

The Minivar is a similar product to the Hydrovar, being smaller and having sizes down to 0.55kW. All control is done through two control buttons although a hand-held programmer is available.
